Raw Spirit — David Paul Black

The sun falls under the horizon,

darkness surrounds the dusk.

A cold breeze thunders through the plains, the rabbits scurry through the dust.

Watch as the falcon flies to its nest,

Listen to the spirit of the wind, howling like a coyote at its best.

For just this moment the earth stops spinning, forget all the rest.

Clarity comes to say hello like an old childhood friend. Rest your eyes my kin the sun will rise again.
